Tradition and meaning

In the name, 'Kuber' means the guardian of wealth. Yantras with this name are traditionally kept in shops, offices and cash rooms by people who follow Lakshmi or Kubera worship. Kubera is the guardian of wealth in Hindu tradition and is often worshipped alongside Lakshmi. A yantra is a sacred geometric diagram, traditionally used as a focus for worship and meditation; the lines and shapes are meant to be looked at, revered and often paired with a specific mantra. Yantras are traditionally associated with a mantra and with a particular deity or graha. Their significance is devotional and symbolic, and no result is promised. A commonly used mantra for this deity or graha is 'Om Yakshaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaya Namah'; use the mantra your own tradition or guru teaches.
