Surya Grah (Sun) Brass Yantra

Surya Grah (Sun) Brass Yantra is a yantra for devotional practice, chosen by the deity, planet or purpose it represents.

Material named in the listing: brass.

Tradition and meaning

In the name, 'Grah' means planet. Graha shanti yantras are traditionally kept by people who follow their astrologer's guidance on planetary worship. Surya, the Sun, is worshipped in Vedic tradition as the source of light and vitality, with Sunday and Surya Namaskar as customary observances. A yantra is a sacred geometric diagram, traditionally used as a focus for worship and meditation; the lines and shapes are meant to be looked at, revered and often paired with a specific mantra. Yantras are traditionally associated with a mantra and with a particular deity or graha. They are devotional and symbolic objects, and no result is promised. A commonly used mantra for this deity or graha is 'Om Suryaya Namah'; use the mantra your own tradition or guru teaches.
